Important Hassun made by Shigemi Inoue Sr.  Shakuhachi Zen Flute Measures 21 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Signed by Shigemi Inoue Sr. Hand-made in 1.8' key of D.  Originally purchased in Japan in 1954.   Some damage and loss to root ball. Hassun has a crack near the black joint measuring 3 1/2 inches which can be professionally repaired. Shigemi Inoue was originally a student of the master musician Kawase Junsuke and eventually went on to teach Inoue Shigeshi and the great Kaneyasu Dodo. Shigemi Inoue died in 1952, having attained mastery of the Shakuhachi.  His instruments are much sought after and are of much historical importance.  This is a rare opportunity to own one of his instruments.
