"Old Oraibi, A Study of the Hopi Indians of the Thrid Mesa," by Mischa Titiev. Published by the Museum, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1970. Scarce. Original brown paper cover has aging and chipping. Lettering in black on front cover. All corners but top front corner has chipped away. Back cover has listings of Memoirs of the Peabody Museum. Back cover has aging and chipping. "Lois Alhone," stamped on top, front corner.  Spine is missing. Inside front cover has a listing of the Papers of the Peabody Museum which continues on inside back cover.  This inside front cover has aging. 1st page of book has a name written in pen. This page has aging and chipping and a stain along the bottom corner. Front cover and 1st free page loose from the rest of the book. Text block pages have aging, chipping, but tight to binding. Illustrated in black and white with graphs, diagrams and some photos. Actual size of book: 7 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches. 274 pages plus additional plates. This book contains extensive information on kinship and social organization and ceremonialism including women's ceremonies adn customs and rituals relating to war, and the Katcina cult.  The book contains 13 figures, 4 plates, 11 charts and 10 tables, all in black and white.
