Bottom corners lightly bumped. Spine has soiling and is sun-darkened. Gilt letters on spine are faded. Gilt letters on front cover still fairly bright. There is a long black stain on back cover that appears to be spilled ink.Top and bottom of spine lightly chipped. Front end pages have aging. Front free end page has pen writing, two signatures. Back end pages have aging and light foxing. Contains 51 black and white illustrations and 8 maps. Text pages have light aging, sound and tight to binding. Actual size of book: 5 1/2 by 8 inches. 296 pages.
