Published by Nims and Knight, Troy, New York, 1889. Original sky-blue hard-cover in good condition. Soiling on cover. Gold-gilt lettering on blue ribbon on front cover bright. Etched portrait circled by bright gold-gilt in good condition on front cover. White inside of front and back cover clean and bright. Text pages loose from cover, but bound together. Text pages have aging, but otherwise in good condition. Etchings on heavier paper in good condition with thin cover sheet. Opening page with orange-red lettering. Title page with orange-red and copper lettering. Etching of Emma Juch is loose. Biographies are illustrated around the text. Actual size of book: 11 by 14 inches. Biographies include those of Lilli Lehmann, Emma Juch, Mme. Materna, Mme Albani, Marie Van Zandt, Mme Fursch-Madi (this etching is partially loose).Scarce. Music. Biography. Musical History.
